Even though entering their first-ever European adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.

A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Grasp the Moment

This match offered a chance for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
